CAWEB’s partnership with Intern Abroad makes this trip to San Francisco possible. In fact, Intern Abroad’s Your Silicon Valley initiative is committed to helping European students gain first-time work experience in the United States.
As part of Your Silicon Valley, students get to participate in an intensive, one-week industry fieldtrip which includes professional workshops, campus visits and networking opportunities. These events grant participants access to experts in the fields of web technology, translation, multimedia and localization.
For two years now, the University of Strasbourg in partnership with Intern Abroad, have proposed a week-long immersion program to second-year Master’s students. To find out more about previous trips, please visit our Archives.
A delegation of CAWEB students will once again be jetting off to San Francisco from 12 to 18 November 2017. This year, 15 second-year Master’s students are looking forward to visiting some of the giants of the global tech industry. Joined by Renate de la Paix, director of the CAWEB program, these students will be immersed in the contemporary American dream, as they explore Silicon Valley: the epicenter of modern-day technological development. Intern Abroad will therefore be giving these students an insider’s view of the some of the world’s most influential businesses.
This trip presents a great opportunity for students who would like to pursue careers in web technology, multimedia, translation and localization.
