Furthermore, the Institute offers great international opportunities at partner companies and universities.
The Middlebury Institute is world renowned for its excellent languages courses and strong international partnerships. In fact, the MIIS offers extensive programs, covering not only linguistics related fields, but also subjects oriented towards the global market, such as multicultural mediation and management.
CAWEB and the MIIS
As with the MIIS, The CAWEB Master’s program also offers diverse courses in several foreign languages, localization and translation. Similarly, the CAWEB program also regularly sends a number of its students to partner universities abroad, including institutions in Russia and Italy, all while hosting foreign students from the aforementioned universities. This recognition of the importance of global exposure is a value the CAWEB Master’s program shares with the MIIS. Similarly, the CAWEB program also places great emphasis on web technologies, and the benefits that these technologies can add to language-based skills.
The Expectations of the CAWEB team
We look forward to meeting instructors from the Middlebury Institute to discuss the nature of real-life localization jobs while sharing views on web technologies in a rapidly globalizing world.
